Stellenanzeige: Two PhD-student positions, Leipzig
At the research lab of the Dept. of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology of the Leipzig University applications are invited for two PhD student positions. The positions will be available from September 2017 until June 30th 2021. In agreement with current regulations, the position is on the TVL-O-E13 (65%) for public employees. The projects will investigate the impact of newly developed biomaterials on the improvement of disturbed wound healing and the mechanisms behind this. Funded by the DFG (Transregio-SFB67; www.trr67.de - projects B3 and B4 ), two PhD student positions are available dealing with investigations on protein-matrix- and cell-matrix interactions, and analysis of wound healing processes using in vivo mouse models. The PhD thesis will be conducted in frame of TRR67-integrated PhD program, which offers excellent training possibilities in scientific as well as soft skills. Your profile: The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, or related, and have profound English skills. The successful candidate will be creative, ambitious, and highly motivated. Strong skills in primary human cell culture as well as in experimental animal studies are highly desirable. Experience in immunoassays, flow cytometry, fluorescent microscopy and image analysis, gene expression analysis are also an asset.
